"We stopped here quite late in the day. So unfortunately there were no more pies left. The staff was quite amazing. And I love that you know where your food is sourced from (they even have a sign saying who caught the fish of the day).
We took food to go and their loco moco was amazing. You could tell that their beef was very high quality beef (also local if I remember correctly).
Next time I’m on the island I can’t wait to get a chance to taste their pies.
Recommendation: come with cash. They take card but there’s an extra processing fee."

"My wife, my mother, and my sister's family, 7 in all, were travelling between Captain Cook and Volcano National Park. Along the way we stopped at the Hana Hou Restaurant for a late lunch. This place was truly a great find. We enjoyed the great food and the friendly wait staff. I highly recommend stopping in for a real treat."

"I wish I could give them more stars! The food was absolutely fantastic - one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The garlic shrimp was also delicious. For dessert we split the Mac nut pie, peanut butter bar and GF apple cake - all of them we’d have again. Every staff member was so kind and knowledgeable. I wish we were staying closer so we could visit again."
"Before heading here, I was skeptical, but boy was I wrong. The pizza was some of the best I’ve ever had. The fries were even better. After eating here, I was left speechless. Don’t think this is a tourist trap like Kings View Café in Hāwī. For the southernmost restaurant in the US, this is amazing and eating here made my day! Absolutely worth the 2 and a half hour drive, but bundle this with South Point. I loved the experience and would totally come back. If I were a food critic I would recommend this for a Michelin Star. Well done."
