"A perfect end to a perfect day! The service was friendly, fast, and had that welcome-to-our-home feel that is so rare these days. I had the Santa Fe Quesadilla, which came with 2 salsas which were both surprisingly good (this native New Mexican was surprised, and glad they didn't ask me "red or green"). The. Quesadilla itself was amazing, stuffed with pulled pork and see dripping with flavor. To add to that they have excellent coffee and dessert. We split the Macadamia creme pie and I was blown away with sweet Macadamia magic (I'm not even a pie guy, but this is one of those must-have exceptions). 10/10!"

"This restaurant is the most authentic Hawaiian restaurant around. The deserts are to die for. Take a piece of coconut-cream pie which people drive from Hilo to buy. The dinner/lunch menu has a lot of plate lunches, but unlike some places that serve plate lunches, the ingredients are fresh and the lunches are not greasy like a lot places. Skip Punalu’u Bake Shop which is a gigantic place with big tour busses coming through. At Hana Hou Hou, you will taste real Hawaiian food that’s cooked fresh in the kitchen."
